Listening to every heart

Southwinds

I brought you with me to this poem
to share the wind
it calls us home

we'll let it get in our hair
not care not care
we will watch it sing grass a tune
and then we'll watch it
lift the moon...

it scatters clouds along their way
it makes one’s heart stand
still in pray

it ruffles through the olive’s leaves
and sometimes is called
a breeze
that’s when you can barely stand
amid the wind here in this land
oldtimers they have a say
of making a little
go a long ways

Come, stand here in the wind with me,
let it clear the cobwebs free
sing us to humility
and pink our cheeks,
its kisses, free.

I would love to stand in the wind with you and witness your words of love and wisdom be carried on high to the four corners of the world.

~ Good morning and thanks for this bit of sunshine to start my day!

Have a good one!

Beautiful and carefree write Karilea.
So very much enjoyed this on a windy early winter day.

I don't know about the south winds Sunshine, but I KNOW these Eastern winds today are blowing up a storm.  Well done.

What a wonderful poem - and such great inspiration...

The wind is perhaps the greatest force in existance... We can't see it.. but we surely can feel it - and the power it has over us...

Nicely done, Sunshine..

Oh yes, Karilea, I love the wind, too...if it's a gentle
breeze and not in one of our hurricanes we have here in Florida.
