I kissed the rain tonight, my lips dry from want,
absorbing the dampness as the night settles in.
I wish for you to listen to my heart
as we meet in our dreams,
and are reminded of these words that take me...

Somewhere Into Tomorrow

There is no cure for how I feel.
I could follow the path of the sun, or
reach for the diamonds of the night,
but they would all lead me to the shape of you.
For I am a dreamer, and embrace love
somewhere between Heaven and Earth.
If I had one more day, I'd wish to walk
hand in hand, spending it in love,
gathering all its moments in a bouquet
to take me somewhere into tomorrow.

I'd want to steal kisses, from your lips
that hold back words, that could
breath new life into me.
I'd  want to walk in your shoes and undo
the doings of your past,
easing your mind, your heart, your  soul,
allowing them to let me in
and offer you my bouquet of memories.

I'd want to be carried away in dreams,
yours, mine, where love can endure,
where distance and time no longer exist,
where tears evaporate into happiness
and there are no goodbyes.
I touch the past, and see no todays,
without the dreams of tomorrow.

I loved you yesterday, love you today and
dream of loving you, somewhere into tomorrow.

M,
The most loyal woman I know! And an incredible poet with a mind for romance that will always amaze me. I'll always love your writing.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Maureen, you write some of the best emotional poetry I've ever read. I love the warm flowing conversational tone in this one especially. You reveal such great depth of love. Thank you, for your open hearted sharing of timeless devoted Love.

Maureen, I hope that one day I will be able to write of my love

the words that you write in your love poetry so very much.
You have an amazing talent, dear lady. Thank you so much for sharing with us.

I can't say that I relate much to this one right now, but have in the past, and maybe in the future...who knows?

(smiles) Awwwwwwwwwww, this is sooooooo gorgeous, sweet friend, I know just how you feel because when I think of Joanna I think of the rain in Florida where she lives, and dream of kissing her moist humid lips so much under the umbrella in the spring or summer! (kiss on cheek) May this ecstasy always sing in your heart, sweet friend, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Maureen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
