A Minstrel's song came over the hill and set upon my ear
With music soft, the words aroused upon my cheek a tear
The story he was telling, was of beauty never heard
Saw up above in blue sky high, the praying of a bird

The Minstrel sang his song so loud for everyone to hear
His voice was of a timbre low that made me cry, I fear
I'll tell you, as his words would flow in beautiful cadence
That words he choosed to being used, actually made sense

I climbed the hill and walked straight down to where the sound came from
And there they were, a group of men, don't know from where they'd come
One was tall, good looking too, his name was LongJohnAg
The second man seemed really cute, big toe wrapped in a rag

Then there was the man who sang, they called him Balladeer
I walked right up, was smiling big and said: How cosy here
They had some fire going on, cooked soup in an old pot
Sit down, said Toe, and have a bite, it is delicious hot

I asked them why they gathered here outside and far from home
Ahh, said LongJohn, we'll tell you dear, but could I lend your comb
I have been here a few days now, my hair is a real mess
We thought we packed a comb you see, but we forgot I guess

Balladeer (with shining eyes) began to sing again
Words came out so smoothly and I thought, I love this man
Actually I loved all three, because they were so nice
While Balladeer sang ballads, we three were playing dice

Well, said Toe, it all comes down to friendship here you see
We're good friends and we can show our feelings true and free
Not always we are able to, due to expectations
Of members at a website blue, we've build some reputations

One day I wrote a poem, said Deer, and nagged a bit LongJohn
Then Toe came in and he nagged me and so't kept going on
People laughed and wrote to us and we didn't dare to stop
Because our writings ended there, way high at the top

But..dear lady, said LongJohn, we actually love each other
Toe and also Balladeer, I look upon as a brother
And that is why we come out here, far from pages blue
To be the friends we always were and show our feelings true

I felt some tears come up my eyes by hearing this confession
Finally I said goodbye and left them at their session
I promised not to tell a soul, whenever I found those pages blue
But I think they won't really mind, because like me, you love them too

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

How true, how true, these Three-of-Blue
Toe, LongJohn, and Balladeer, 'tis true...
they wend a smile along their way
and Passions' place is where they play.

I love all FOUR of you!~~~

At times I'll be laughing
At times I'll do the jig
At times I'll be sighing
At times I'll flip my wig!

Wonderful poem about three lovable scalawags who brighten up all our lives!

~ warm, happy hugs to all of you!

For some strange reason that made me cry. It was so sad. Is it just me, or was that sad?

Never be normal!

Aw, Titia, this is really a sweet poem. Thank you! Yes, the three of us spend a lot of time on the road....manly because we're being chased out of town for one reason or another!

I love to joke around with those two. It's rare to find the chemistry with others where one can joke or poke fun without the fear of sarcasm or bad feelings coming up. We can do that because we are all the best of friends, plus the fact that, when I am linked with those two, I look like a genius!!

Thank you, dutchie. We are all glad that others also enjoy our verbal verbiage...those guys really pick on me, don't they????
