Morning Thoughts

I dressed for you last night,
black velvet edged in red.
Beneath it all,
a kaleidoscope of thoughts,
to brush aside
those fragmented memories,
and immerse my senses
into a peacefulness
that lulled me into sleep.

Today I shall wear the blue of you,
a deep sapphire, removing my mask of want,
daring to seek out the spirit
of the season, as I take on it's hue.

I will challenge you tonight,
to have me-thoughts, for I will be
in my sheerest of fashion,
tattooed in the warmth of your touch
that never leaves and always shadows
my truth of you.

I will parallel into my dreams,
waiting for yours to cross over,
to intersect time
and once more meet again.

M

fascinating lines:

Today I shall wear the blue of you,
a deep sapphire, removing my mask of want,
daring to seek out the spirit
of the season, as I take on it's hue.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

I especially like the last stanza...  So, how does one lucidly cross-over and retain the memory upon returning...?

RSWells and here I thought I covered up just enough

Ethel,you are quite welcome *s

Earth Angel, I use to be on a site called Kaleidoscope and actually one of my very first poems was titled that.

Virginia, all I did was wear  my blues, go shopping in the Christmas spirit and take my mind off of my desires...strange how it twists into words

Sandpiper, I am glad you stopped by to read. Thank you

Cher, thank you...not really bittersweet, I do tend to put hidden messages in my poems most of the time *s
hugsss back
M
It's nice to see you back here.

MARK V,hmmmmmmm let me think now..not exactly sure what you are asking..but I always dream my desires and wants and the only way they come true is if someone finds the time to be with me...crosses his time to be in mine...does that make sense?
