In Your Poetic Mind

Of human longing:
to        rhythms of snow

'But' you asked for a story with happy ending
Your loneliness        plays my tears

I sat on the floor-- gazing at your  lips:

"Watch the light whisper
to broken glass"     to memories
         of you

{softly lingering}

In my dreams:
  trees are moving
playing in rain
between heaven & earth
covering meadows in silk

{let me sleep, let me dream, let me
          be with you}

I rise to the edge of water
        it touches my hands--
draws me deeper    in
gold and green  ripples

if you could feel me

the tense quiet
           surrounds you, in
shadows    where I have been --
where I am now

The wood has settled,
the press of leaves begins   the ritual
etched in autumn light--

Where the dove mourns--
begins again the dream

no one can enter

Deep inside the stillness
........I can hear you speak
You're still an inspiration
........To me

But I believe someone did enter....and
stands in the shadow beside you...

Lovely words Lauren,  your delicate touch is
nice to read...

I think Magnus is right! Wonderful write and how nice to see you here. Miss ya' a lot.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

'your loneliness plays my tears'

oh - that aches. very well penned, i LOVE this line... well, of course i like all of them, but as you once said in reverse: i am biased.
