Vampira perches, my heart lurches to see her grinning so.
With saccharine smile, she gloats the while I tremble to and fro.
My pulse she seeketh, I feel weaketh, why did I come this way?
My heart went thud when I gave blood at the donor center today.

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

Good to see you here Ken!
Cute write...but I can't give blood as I should..
I would pass out cold!

(giggles in delight) Oh my gosh, when I was little I used to feel the same way, now I love to give blood as I have O Blood so I can give to anyone and I wish to help so many children who need this extra blood more than I do! (big huggssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ken, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

The last line was a fun twist to the implied imagery...

Ah, my sentiments exactly.  I faint at the sight of medicinal needles.  But only because they broke one off in my arm once when I was a wee thing.  Haven't quite gotten over the experience.  But I hold in high regard those who find it within themselves to give blood.  Thank you !

Egad!  I almost passed out 'warm' reading Karilea's reply!!
Came back to pop this into my library..
now I have to go lie down
or put my head between my knees for a few minutes.
Anyone got any smelling salts?...
think I may swoon.

To all:  Thank you for the warmth and fellowship of your comments.  I guess I've been stuck so many times, I've gotten over the needle heebie jeebies.  KJ
