An American with soles so holy
That his shoes where air conditioned
Socks so absolutely obscene
They walked showing too much skin
Wearing pants worn once too often
In a shirt of red, white and blue
Standing proud but out in the cold

In the warmth of splendor
The couple gasped in their disgust
So beneath their dignity
Was this creature called man
So encased where they
That the mirror revolved
Totally around them

In a life of hard times
That seen creative accounting
Take its bite out of crime
Creating a life
Of fortunes of misfortunes
His spirit was deflated
By a bank called Wall Street

The brokers of the elite
Where pre warned of bad times
In special offerings of royalty
They had Enron appetites to
Monopolize their special privilege
Castles fortified with ill gotten gains

The veteran of a drafted campaign
That they dared not even call a war
Politicians always seemed to be there
To blame not matter the time
Not knowing what to do
Except raise the white flag of surrender
Of a corporate mentality
That pays for their meals

Yet this icon of American ingenuity
Had provided his kids the college of hope
With their success elevating them
Into the heavens of temporary prosperity
Leaving him in his frozen tears
In social security too thin to stand on
Yet strong enough for Congress to invest
In corporate CEO’s retirements

In a country club
Tanning within their glory
They can avoid the taxes of living
Within their means in special perks
With all the advantages of stocks
Made of shower curtains of gold
Knowing if they are caught in the raw
A country club will imprison them
For showing too much publicity

In a day of thanks
This special breed of American hero
Will still fight the terrorist
Which want to destroy his children
In a holy vendetta against corruption
Of their pristine moral values
Killing in the name of religion

In a heart of determination
Things must get better
For he will again go to war
And defend his country
In the rags it has left him
To live on

Thought: In a free press that should question things and change the way we think. Why is it so silently controlled in what they have to offer? In the Vietnam Conflict those that died, fought for the rights to an open forum of discussions. They even fought for the rights of protesters who questioned our government policies in a system of checks and balances. If I was to control America, I would use the media that would abide only by my special rules. Send a critical editorial to a newspaper and see if it gets published. My words will fall on deaf ears, as those with the power to control will simply ignore me into dust.

Thought: To only way to survive today, is to conform and never question those above you, for once you do that your future is doomed. Question the elite CEO’s, politicians, lawyers, religious leaders and power brokers, be prepared for the wrath of dooms day.

Thought: Why should anyone fear words in a free society when the United States was founded on it? Use them to open minds and find out!

Thought: What do you call a politician that questions things on his own initiative? An American who is out of control of reality whose moral values will be severely questioned.

Sorry about all the thoughts, one of those days that I could not put my mind to rest. Happy Thanksgiving and blessings from me and a country I love but find so darn frustrating!!
