Passions Mire In your eyes I’ve seen The smouldering fire A soul consumed Fuelled by desire Seen passions fury Become to much And heard you cry out Deep within a lovers clutch Felt your heart held fast In the mystic spell But of loves true thought You’d dare not tell Heard said I’m blessed But they just don’t see Those thoughts of love Not held for me So I look on in ache As you heed your desire Caught deep within Passions mire Maybe all one can do is hope to end up with the right regrets. ~Arthur Miller |
