I have opened this window
at a great cost

to diminish these thoughts
with iron clad words
to spill these nothings with
ghost-like proclivity

...to lessen
...to lessen
to forget...

to tread water until drowning-
frozen arteries...
cuts, immaterial

the ship is sinking-
my mind is breathing-
the window is crashing-

the blood is contained
in the pine-wood box
and I stand above
myself, my words,
disbelieving

The unthinkable, the unsinkable.
So many ghosts.
So many wandering thoughts.
