Lost to Time Under cover of moon I bared my thoughts drifting in and out of want, realizing the connection is missing. Unspoken now, the words will keep, will feed my soul with a passion lost to time. A world away, my thoughts will become, as I choose my aloneness over what could have been. The still of my heart surprised me, what use to scream now just a faint whisper, a maybe or perhaps some day to eclipse the gray, overshadowing the weakness of my being. No tears, no emptiness, just a calmness as if I am seeing myself for the first time and learning that I will keep. I go to my bed with fragments, carboned words, slightly smeared, and light one last candle, a midnight's calling to melt away what isn't there.
