not allowed to exist,
Pushed into the dark,
aleys of pain on all sides,
banished from hope and dreams, yet don't make a remark
The sunlight may glimmer above,
yet they cannot see it
A spot of blackness in a world of light
From the crimes some commit
Shadows that follow behind strangers,
begging for sypathy.
Some deserve what they get,
But some should be free.
Some made mistakes,
time was unforgiving.
but what about the children?
who can rarely go on living

I hate hearing stories,
I know not what is true,
but there is so little
a shadow child can do.
Why should they suffer
from parent's mistakes?
While some children are spoiled
With candy and cakes.
I know I am thankfull
for so many things,
but what about the children
That need guiding wings

Living in a box,
Is no way to live at all,
And to think I'm in pain,
Whan I fail or take a fall.
For the truth is you see,
We all make mistakes,
But that gives us no right
To complain of our aches,
because no matter how bad,
Your life may feel,
After a while,
Most poeople will heal.
But what about the children
Because yes, they are real

Never be normal!

Liz,  this is a very mature poem for
a person of your age....Well done..and
very poignant...   Let the winds blow
and speak the words of one's heart...

Liz,

What a kind, loving young woman you are. This is wise and thoughtful.

For whatever it is worth, I am one of those children, and I made it quite nicely. Though we start way, way, way in the back of the pack, I think we  are often given some special drive to succeed in survival, plus much more...
...just a thought...

The above paragraph  is why I like your poems for they cause me (and others, I am sure), to think and feel.

Much talent you have. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Hugs and warm regards, Pat

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Liz, this is so very heartbreaking but true, sweet friend, no child should ever be unloved, ignored, or denied, as they need to be fondled and loved so they can grow and not repeat the mistakes of our fathers! (sigh) God Bless all the children of the world, sweet friend, you have a true golden heart, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Liz, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Well, little Liz, you've done it again....
Like the others have said, you write with
wisdom way beyond your years, little friend.
You do amaze me with your poems. Such talent you have.

Your heartbeats are heard far away, Miss Wind. Thank you for lifting the shadowed voices up, to give them a gentler ride, up and out of the alleyways.
And thank you for sharing unconditional love.
