The Bing Bong Man

It only seems like yesterday that whilst eating a cake on a sunny day
I was amazed to meet a man with green feet, who pulled out my hair then ran away!

In shock and despair I picked up my hair and followed the man who gave me a scare
Through rivers of slime for quite a long time, over a mountain and straight through a fountain!

After 96 days he altered his ways and started to walk on sandals of chalk
Then after a while with a carefree smile he made like a mole and ran down a hole!

I followed some more down a path to a door, which was locked from within with a key made of skin
After knocking 3 times I was pelted with limes through a whole in the roof (1 knocked out my tooth!)

“How dare you” I screamed, then slowly it seemed the skin key was turned my temper still burned
The door came open and the only words spoken were “Give me some ham, I’m the Bing Bong man”

(standing ovation) OH MY GOSH, I LOVE THIS!!! You poor thing, maybe if you treat him to some honey baked ham he will be most impressed and go off to bing-bong someone else, hehehe! This is so incredibly novel, sweet friend, you are amazing, into my library this timeless classic goes, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Dan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

What a hoot!  Loved this. I posted one called "Damned Dan" a while back.  It was a similar type, but yours is better.

Dan, this is cute. I like the way you rhymed
within the lines. If there's a technical
word for that, I don't know what it is.
Anyway, I like the style. Thanks for sharing
your poem with us.
