Be at peace, there is no crying,
though the outer shell is dying
and the inner self is lying
at the cusp of heaven's door

Be at peace your world is ending
now  you're done with all pretending
and the time has come for sending
all you are to heaven's door

Be at peace, all of your sorrow
or the promise of tomorrow
has been shed and this day's borrow
is returned to heaven's door

Be at peace; cease endless striving
leave the passion and the driving
in the son's light you are thriving;
Be at peace - time is no more

Kethry, this was good.  I found it interesting that in the beginning the voice is directing the body/soul to be at peace...

and then questions it in the end, when it is all over.

Very effective.

Sorry Sunshine,
it's not that I meant a question mark in my last line, it's just that this forum, doesn't recognise my punctuation and I occasionally miss in the edit.

A beautifully tender write Kethry ... a wish for peace, though our hearts still yearn for what we have lost. Lovely rhythm and flow throughout, very much enjoyed your thoughts.

Best wishes,
/Kit

May love and light always shine upon you!

Bill,
thanks it has to be from the heart otherwise it does not scan.

Sy,
thanks so much. Tis a small offering no more

regards2you,
I do thank you. I think if I didn't know peace there would be pieces of me all over.

kayjay,
sending someone on in peace is one of the hardest things you can do. *HeaRTHuGS*

SmartChick,
thanks  - and so you should, for that is the only place to find peace.

scorpio,
I don't know your face but I feel as if we have connected, thank you

Kit,
thank you for echoing my meaning and doing it so perfectly.

Mistletoe Angel,
I have lots of unnecessary breakdowns but I have learned to confine them to my car

This Diamond,
thank you I enjoyed your comments

ecrivan,
and I am in the faze where nothing phases me, except for the driving and I let the road traffic authority worry about that

Gentle Spirit,
thank you. I enjoyed your response

Paul Wilson,
Thank you I think, I worked my whole life at being good and you tell me I'm destined to be a doorman to heaven, not to even experience the joys, but to stand outside and watch while letting others in. Not fair! lol.

Sudhir,
Beloved one, the blessing of peace you bring are accepted with gratitude. Peace also to you.

Marge,
If I have the heart of a friend it's because you showed the way. *HuGGLeS*

Vandana,
thank you for the effort.

Krissy,
Ah yes but as your mother would say - "who would you know there?" Thanks lovey.

Titia,
I tried wrapping my muse to send, but it is such a slippery sucker, it keeps escaping and hiding under the bed. *HuGS*

garysgirl,
me too, except I don't wish for everyone to die. Thank you.

Hey Sunshine?

Thanks?

Sue,
I hope all is well with you, take care my friend and thank you.

Kethry

Keth beloved one, I shall simply say this is wonderful and thank you for the peace within it. You know I love this don’t you, I shan’t be invited in, but I got to glimpse it so I shall strive to retain the memory.

Excellent darling heart I’m left bereft of speech……….. Make the most of it beloved one
