Winter Escapades

Stepped outside myself, onto a freshly powdered trail
Slipped on icy ground into the air, a terrified exalted wail
Trudging through the open, not expecting to see much
Stopped to play along the way, and found a softer touch

Landed on my feet, into the drifts of love that will not chill
Sliding in the avalanche of deeper dreams and stronger will
Holding in my arms more than the memory of a man in love
Embraced within my heart, love of my life to winter sweetly of

Taken by the hand into the warmth of fires so forgiving of my ways
Slipped into a trance of finest twinkling, melting darkness into sunny days
Tapping lightly on the glass of recluse, listens pale to hear so faintly falls
Popcorn wars and whispers shared into the ebony of all my heart recalls

Simple times that bring enchantments ‘til his treasure chest is filled
Sending far elucidations to enfold him warm imagination’s guild
Stepped outside myself to risk the fall that may not ever land the ground
Flurries seem to reconcile the distant spring of all that I have found

Sipping of the cocoa in a rich reward so eager in the taste of now
Covered by the blankets, all my dreams, a present priceless comes somehow
To further in a heartbeat all that could be cherished in a single white lament
Stepped outside the box into the green of gardens seen and promise sent

(smiles) Oh Kathleen, I just love a beautiful soft cotton inaugural snowstorm, it is a magical sight to see indeed and I love watching the flickers and stellar jays and Ebert squirrels scampering about! (kiss on cheek) This is beautiful, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kathleen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
