When it comes to Christmas shopping
seems like there's no chance of stopping.
"Deck the halls", repel all boarders,
"what the heck?", though can't afford 'er.

'Tis the season to be spending, "Must have items" ,never ending.
Knick-knacks, doo-dads, by the score are soon amassed outside my door, sir.

"Buy" the dickens, christmas carols, and some intimate apparel.
(for the wife ,just to reward 'er, last years' dust-mop kinda bored 'er)!

Gew-gaws , gadgets , even gizmos,
(it's not Christmas 'til you buy those).
Bankruptcy? though rushing toward 'er
even wise men have ignored 'er.

Sugar plums that dance , I get it
,out of cash, just buy on credit,
nest-eggs, pensions,"IRAS" stored fer
rainy days,spent, now I'm poorer,

than that pair that once sought shelter,
my star lead me helter-skelter
everyplace there was a store fer everything and then some more sir.

Cash and carry, do not tarry, Jesus, Christmas,Moe and Larry,
Must have lost my flippin' gourd-er, to a higher shopping order!

Rip the list, give hugs.
HA!
Didn't think you'd buy THAT one!

Thanks, Doc!

I think I'll print this out and give a copy to everyone of my list! Then they'll know why they aren't getting anything else!

You've got a first-rate wit going there for you, Doc! I love it!

Imagine my shock
A dollarless Doc!
Alms for the poor did I hear say?
Well my old friend
To you I do send
These credit cards I too can’t pay.
So,
Spend!
Spend!
Spend!
Till the day’s they call our end
And the interest
To the devil we pay
For now tis the season
That we must make the economy turn
And let the money burn
What holes it may
In pockets empty
Far from cheep
For what is free
We cannot wrap under the tree
Lo, it be what we most truly need
Peace on Earth
and
Goodwill to All

Happy Holidays to you my friend!  Good to know you're still about.  Hope you don't mind my little addition.  C-ya round!

passing shadows,
Thank you, actually, I do very little of the shopping/spending, but, between my wife and I, we do our best to keep the economy going!

Sunshine,
Thank you, I may just follow that advice!

Sy,
Thank you my friend,'tis better to be spreading glee, than on a constant spending spree.

Denise,
Thanks ,at least I've not spent all my humor yet.

Drew,
Hey, my ol' buddy! Sogreattohearfromyou!
