In one breath
I lived a life
In another I died
And in between
The fresh air kept
Me going

In a beat of my heart
Life was born
And in the lack of one
I ceased to exist
In between
My mind imagined

In the thirst of birth
Dust finally overcame me
But the garden of thought
I implanted into others
Moisture still seeks tears

In words that started
That did not make sense
I finally found something
That will outlast me
