Juxtaposition

I think of this what I'll miss most
is the occasional juxtaposition
of words and verse;
of shared thought deliberating
not so much on meaning
as in the possibility; the layering
of, well, "kindred-ness", to be old-fashioned,
and I am nothing else if not tradition
bound. That's so obvious;
the staid reserve; the stark lack
of ability to participate
in expression for its own sake,
apart from meaning. The awareness
that the absence of truth
reveals not necessarily the opposite
but often just delight in being
close
has to my mind
come
slowly.

I would not trade your talent for anything my friend...

Inclined
with steep sided thought
climbing up those words
exhausted no possibility
