Without You

Without you to remind me to walk on
I might not know how to sing hope’s song
But if I look within I can recall the touch
Of a love that spread its warmth of such
Each day I’m learning to accept the fate
I know love lives even past death’s gate
Sobbing won’t hold time still for me
So I’ll try to smile as I face time’s adversity

Without your touch I wouldn’t have this
A love that covered my soul in endless bliss
I’ll never forget you made my eyes shine
Or that we shared a golden moment in time
How many souls can say they did so?
That their hearts and souls in unison flow
Time is the only regret I have about you
The minutes together were much too few

Without your voice will I still find my way?
Will I find the path I should take every day?
Are the choices I’ll make right or wrong?
Will I still hear the music of love’s own song?
I know I’ll go on and all will be well
But the pain of this loss is too hard to tell
Without you to take my hand it will be tough
And I wonder my love if I’m strong enough

Without you I fear the colours will fade
My heart, my soul will live in sorrow’s shade

Marsha

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Oh Marsha dear heart, this is so sad. I hope you are alright. Your words are very touching. I know that we are all stronger than we realize, and that the sun will rise again to-morrow. Be well. Chris

Marsha... I don't really know what to say about this absolutely lovely but very sad piece...
But this much, I do know...
Love does survive death and once you have loved someone and he has loved you...
you will always have that love.

I'm sure you know what these particular lines mean to me... and what a rare gift it is when we can say this about a relationship. *S*

It's hard to know whether to comment on the beauty of your poem or the pain that propels the words forth... both beauty and pain are abundantly evident. *S*

In the sadness of loss there's a light that leads to pathways of new joy, just search...you'll find it.

Hugs,
