~*~

...After the cleansing rain, I took a leisurely stroll through the village streets. Some of the lane ways were lined with the quaint, tiny homes of the visiting clairvoyants who were there for the summer season. They stood in stark contrast to the proud Victorian homes, resplendent in their expansive verandas and colorful gardens.Magnificent trees, hundreds of years old, were everywhere to be seen...Oh, the stories they could tell!...I could sense the history as they provided a living link to the past. I felt a part of the interconnectedness between mankind and all aspects of nature.
The faint tinkling of wind chimes flooded me with memories from my childhood.A wave of nostalgia washed over me as images cascaded before my mind's eye of memorable moments spent with my grandmother on her front porch--warm, loving memories from a distant past.
As I made my way down to the water's edge, I stopped and leaned against a tall and mighty oak tree. A wondrous scene lay panoramically before me.Snowy white swans, with regal heads held high, glided effortlessly across the still waters of Cassadaga Lake.Proud geese waddled to the nearby shoreline.Rays of the setting sun filtered through the willow trees, creating interesting patterns of light on the dewy grass.
It was so peaceful in this wonderfully spiritual community of Lily Dale. There was something magical and surreal about this place. Even the air was somehow sweeter and rejeuvenating.
As I gazed upon the tranqility of the scene before me, an overwhelming sense of deja vu flooded my body and I came to the realization that I had finally found my way home.

Linda, I really enjoyed this "leisurely stroll"
that you took us on this morning. This sounds
like a wonderful place to be.
Thanks so much for sharing this with us today.

Linda,

This is like a beautiful snap-shot of a quaint villiage. No, the whole roll of film.

I love your last line. (smiling)

Thank you for this, how nice to ~get away~ for a moment,  while staying in my own home...

Hugs to you, Pat

Ethel, I am so pleased that you enjoyed the leisurely stroll. This is just a snippet of what I have written about my times spent in this antiquated spiritual community in upstate New York.

~ have a wonderful day!

Pat  ~

Thank you! I first heard of Lily Dale on 60 Minutes several years ago and had always wanted to go. When I finally did go, I was not disappointed. I could fill a book with all the personal miracles, revelations, epiphanies and other incredible experiences that I had. I had never before, felt more connected  to all that was, is, and will be than I did that very first visit to Lily Dale.

I'm glad you enjoyed the "snap-shots". If this piece is well received, I may post more of them.

~ Enjoy your day!

The beauty here of Lily Dale
As told by your fine words
Takes adjectives to descriptive bliss
A written guided tour.

Nature calls to us in spring,
To every creature-all living things
Flowers and trees, this beautiful land,
Where God has laid his magical hand.

In Lily Dale last spring I found
A place with beauty all around
And there behind a tree so tall,
I had to answer "Nature's Call."

You naughty, albeit talented, little boy!
I am of half a mind to spank you and of half a mind to hug you!--or would you prefer both? tehe

Glad you enjoyed! I think your dear Toe got stuck in the "anal stage" of 'psycho'/social development and he's the perennial little boy who loves humor on bodily functions! hehe--however, he is totally delightful! LOL

Yay!!! Oh my gosh, just reading this brought an epiphany to me, I wanna go, I wanna go! (jumps up and down like a little boy begging if I can come to Lily Dale!) LOL! (kiss on cheek) This is sooooooooo beautiful, sweet friend, the favorite place I love to go to that is not far from me that is magical to me is Hanging Lake near Glenwood Springs in the Colorado Mountains, it is an uphill hike, but once you get to the top, it is like a faerie garden! (smiles) This is gorgeous, sweet friend, I love it, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Both sound good....!!!.....And I'm not hung up on "anal stage" bathroom humor either young lady...it's just that everytime I have a bowel movement I think of Balladeer?...And, in defense of your remark, I have posted alot of it lately haven't I?....but only in responses/replies dear....I've behaved and have virtually quit posting my masterpieces yanno. I can't say I've lost my 'muse' cuz I never had any. I can't say I haven't been able to come up with any fantastic/intelligent subjects cuz I never have. But, I can say I love reading work by you and the other REAL poets here. Someday I'm going to write a real poem...I mean really try to think one out, a serious one that will actually take me some time to write....

You're on! When, and where, would you like the spanking and the hug? I have a willow switch that Magnus lent me and then I can ease your pain by enfolding you in my angel wings which I have fluffed up for the occasion!

I too, enjoy your writing! Thank you! And I believe that you really do have a muse---"Amuse"!

You have written some fine serious poetry as well, and when the spirit moves you, I will enjoy reading that aspect of your creative talent as well!
