What are the pretty words
that need to be said?
Tell me, so that I may say them

Where is the Magical phrase
that makes it all better?
The incantation, I have not found

Whose is the language
you understand best?
Teach it to me, I wish to be fluent

Why is all that I've said,
just a faint echo
that you don't recall hearing?

Ed, I also believe that you said everything you need to say right here.....from the heart.

I heard you...
and you said all the Magical phrases perfectly.
Some...just do not know how to listen.

Ed, I think that person probably needs a hearing aid--for you speak the language very well!

Wranx poignant words as usual. I sometimes question the value of my words but then I found this forum. I am learning to stop questioning myself and instead learning the beauty of communicating and sharing thoughts with those of like mind.

Hmm..
I think this is something I wish my husband had asked me a long time ago.

Liked this..
perhaps it made me think a little too much.

Perhaps it was just the poem?

Nobody ever asked ME before--

(till lately--blush)

so maybe she is the same?

Beautiful m'yeti.

Communication of feelings, desires and needs does help, doesn't it??  But then men and women tend to speak in different tongues to each other...we need tofind a neutral vocabulary.

I don't respond as often as I might but I read most of your posts.  Most times, I relate.  Each time, I am impressed with your ability to communicate so accurately, with seeming little effort.  (That's a good thing)

umm, all those responses and not a single person used the cliche' :"actions speak louder than words"?

well, guess i just did.

this poem was written some time ago, probably about some feeling tucked away in a hatbox with other intangible notions.

but, being that they are still here on the blue pages, i read and wanted to tell you
that believe it or not...Silence speaks volumes.
if silence can be held without blush, or looking away, or nervous impulses...if silence can be shared so comfortbly as to not notice the absense of sound....then you dont need words...they are redundant.

and i talk too much..ironic eh?
