I Though I Knew You

We came to know each other quite by fate
Not one day soon and not a bit too late
In our own time we met on destined shore
You turned my life around forever more

For it was you who spun me in a trance
As though you swirled around me in a dance
And I ,in turn, stepped lightly to your pace
With glowing flush of joy upon my face

I thought I knew you well, but yet you posed
A quality of mystery unexposed
And we were soul mates from the very start
Who loved and filled each other’s needy heart

We spun the world within a warm embrace
Although I’d never seen you angel face
And those who saw us knew our love had grown
Before a child’s face to me was shown

In silken binding threads of treasured worth
I knew you, little one, before your birth

The beauty of a child...whether before or
after,  captured within the words that
are filled with that love...

Thanx Liz...and thank you for the comment to
my poem....
