A pen of blackened tip upon the page
to sweep the heart into ethereal bliss.
A quill of old born of a sprightly sage
as fingers trace the lips before a kiss.

When I look to the starry nighttime sky
and beams reflect the hues of hazel soft.
A passing thought of then brings forth a sigh
as steps now lead the way to hay filled loft.

Were not the night to come and kiss the dusk
before the light now wanes and falls to rest.
A love would wait to feed the bowl filled lust
and life should live each moment for the best.

As souls are born to mate and bring to bear
True love the gauge by which two hearts should share.

You asked for it.....you got it....Toyota!!!!

Hello Barry

I'm sure you knew I'd love this one and I loved the sense of humour at the end.  I hope you are well.

Take care......Sue

Barry, this is cute. I was reading a very romatic love poem...then came to your funny ending!! I enjoyed it, Barry. Thanks
