Between the Lines

Investing

I feel so artificial,
my naturalness held back.
Between this time and memory
my dreams are carved in black,
never ending timelessness,
my space prepared for such.
I concentrate on shadows deep
aware of untamed touch.

Behind the shades my thoughts appear
in abstract silhouette.
I work my way through cornered moods
that leave me in a sweat.
Fashioned by a paradox,
san clothing in detail,
I bathe in you to take me there
and cover me in braille.

Unspoken words collect in mind,
are filed away 'til then
when "must" becomes my destiny
unsayable again.
I feel the texture of each write
and meditate on such.
I concentrate on shadows deep
aware of untamed touch.

I sound you out, my words of day
to hear the rhythms tone.
I gain the pleasure, volume soft
while being all alone.
I tape myself distinct in tune
to rescue thoughts astray,
and piece by piece, in language found,
invest in "come what may".

~M~

I like this one too, almost like an extention of Wistful Thinking...
I have a sneaking suspicion your next poem just might be along the lines of  ~must~ becoming a reality (?)

...said lightly and smiling here...

So enjoy this, for I can relate.....

You make it seem so easy to reach right into the depths and just write. The talent you have! I am impressed and so glad you share it with us...

Thank You,

Hugs and warm regards, Pat

Flawless syllables flowed like wine,
an elegant muse now etched in time!!

Pat, thank you..I hadn't thought of these as a trilogy...I just write when the mood suits me.
And I really don't have a muse as such, in fact I never understood the word until coming to passions.
I have my inspirations and at any one time they may be of one or many persons, places or things.

Thank you for the rhyming response ES

Maureen, I always love to read your "inspirations" and thoughts. You write of them so well. You have such talent, Lady. Thanks for sharing with us.

Dixie, me too   I've learned an  awful lot in the past 2 years...and the most important thing is you can't count on anything or anyone except for yourself.
