The wind rushs around me
i stand frozen on the cliff
looking out at the sea swirl
looking for you in the break

You went so long ago
i can still see your face
when i close my eyes
i can see your tears and smiles

You left me here
left alone with my tears
I kiss you
only with words you wont hear

So i will stand
on the cliff edge
awaiting the beautiful storm
to perhaps carry you back to me

Is that your voice
I hear on the winds
or the seagulls crying
for loves lost wings

perhaps it is vain hope
but that is all that remains
so i stand on the cliff
hoping youll once again be mine

Take a good look at my face
Well, don't my smile look out of place
look a little closer its easy to trace
The tracks of my tears

I loved this! I felt as though I was there and experiencing the wind and the impending storm,...the swirling emotions, the longing.....Great poem!

Wonderful poem - words from the heart. I especially liked this stanza:
