“TO BE MISSED”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
Too many miles stretches a
heart in the night, for I taste
the coldest of this bed longing
for you, but not knowing
what to say to one who yet
is not known, but a place
beside me would be yours
through the dawn, warm
with my embrace, my fingers
to stroke your hair, my lips to
be touched onto yours…
Nights stay with me too long
without reason, I dream of your
tenderness close but the miles are
far, yet you stay in my thoughts
and the screams will be ever silenced
with my caress of you…
How like you to make every reader
say, is it me?
Yes,  LIW said it perfectly.....Always the
magician,  pulling the rabbit out of the
hat.....or was it a dove?  Heck,  we never
know...and you....the mystic one...keep the
bulk of Passions ever guessing and wondering.
BC,  this poem aches....more than normal...
and I hope that the ache and screams die
soon...
BC ~~ I am happy to see you back here. I miss your words when you are gone.
Hmmm...I truly hope you find the one of your dreams. There's nothing worse than a cold bed.
Bill, I missed you a lot. It's good to see you back. I look for your poems when I get on these pages of blue.
I hope maybe these words are written for someone in particular?!? Just wondering and guessing, too, dear friend.
~*~
With angel breath
I whisper words
Softly of my love
A gentle kiss
Upon your brow
Gives rise to cooing dove
The warmth we share
Will fill the night
With nectar sweet and fine
We'll wake at dawn
To drink again
Of love's inebrious wine
