The Warmth of Winter

Our breath becomes one
in the cold, early morning air
where we lie close beneath the skins of your hunt.
Body warmth pushes back the cold,
I snuggle closer,
the vapor of my breathe hiding your eyes...
it clears, you're looking at me,
heat flows in a rush from head to toe,
your eyes close....you sleep.

Movement brings a smile,
the seed of your loins stirs in my womb,
dreaming no doubt, of hunting with you,
his legs already pumping , chasing deer...rabbit,
stalking  geese on the pond.

Our breath mingles, becomes one,
as do our bodies, our souls,
merging until there is one breath,
one body, one soul,
this child within,
the wholeness of life.

I let you sleep,
my need fulfilled by closeness,
by love warm as the child I carry;
my eyes close,
my heart beats...
I sleep,
in the warmth of winter.

(smiles) Oh Jimmy, this is so beautiful, sweet friend, this brought a tear to my eye reading this as I believe the most beautiful love is that which comes from the child in ones heart, innocent and pure, which makes one feel special and warm inside! (big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, may the child in your heart always be nurtured with her love, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jimmy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Wow, that was awesome! I don't think I've read a poem quite like that before The gender thing threw me off for a minute, but once I read it again, I could picture a couple nomads Thanks for the read!

An absolutely gorgeous poem, Jimmy... I think the gender issue made it just a bit more edgy... which I think is good!
