~Wistful~ Thinking

I have found in you a spirit
although darkness is your hide.
I see a sparkle loud and clear
in eyes, when by your side.
The imagination you explore
is a fascinating find.
I have found in you a spirit,
one that fills the blanks of mine.

I have watched you plant a seed or two
whose purpose is unclear.
The eyes of readers have a taste
when ripened words appear.
I'm awkward in the way of you,
yet hold on to this stance,
for seeds of long ago have bloomed,
wildflowers in life's dance.

I have wandered in your seasons, thrice
in character unmasked.
Experienced the "never wills"
answers lacked from questions asked.
I have slung the slang and muddied views
and textured how you feel.
A kaleidoscope, we are to each,
connecting in the real.

I have missed you when you haven't gone,
in flood, emotions all.
I have opened up, to paint myself
a portrait, paged in scrawl.
I am fictioned more than in the non,
for fantasies to try.
I have found in me, the missing self
of Me, Myself and I.

I have fused together all the cons
filled blind spots, danger zoned.
Want the taste of the forbidden,
fruits of labor, to be sown.
I'm a crostic in these bites I sound,
beyond the whispers heard.
The truth is that I search for more
within each poet's word.

My glasses tend to magnify,
painting what I see.
Stranded in the midst of you
I've replayed each memory.
I have found in you a spirit, kind,
that clothes me in your hold,
draped in shadows, searching eyes
whose words speak the untold.

For all of this, between the lines,
I wonderwork each thread.
And plot the sequence of each first,
enticed and double-edged.
I hold onto the tones of you,
pretending you are here.
In silent poetry, I'll write until
you next appear.

(smiles) Oh Maureen, I just love this, sweet friend, and learning more from every poets word and increasing our spiritual attention to the living word is what makes what we see kaleidoscopic and makes the simple pleasures larger than life! (kiss on cheek) This is fabulous, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Maureen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I like this so very, very much. I'd say it is my favorite, but you always outdo yourself....until then, this is my favorite of your poems....

Hugs and warm regards, Pat

Your muse, as is mine, is capricious. Fortunately yours does not leave you long and is usually by your side as she was with this fine piece of writing!

I thank you all for your nice comments, every time I have tried to respond to each of you separately, something happens and I get frozen..so  since this is my third attempt, I am thanking you all a once.
I appreciate your kind and thoughtful responses.
