b r e a t h e

the air around you
and fill your lungs
with a dose of reality
feel relative to life
and celebrate the forever
that is .ex p  a   n   d  i ng.

i m a g i n e

the world around you
and what can be done
to that what surrounds you
maybe one change
could mean more
than anything else
that has been ever done

i n v i t e

the brightness of light
with arms wide open
and though at times
the back appears to be
against the wall
what’s in front is
a step to be taken
take that chance

l i s t e n

to sounds that whispers make
to the echoes of wind
and feel them slipping in and out
of the tunnels that you have created
and take notice of
how they wrap themselves
around the bridges
that have been built

o b s e r v e

the child in you
who wants to dance and sing
hop and skip, run and climb
jump and scream, laugh and cry
and feel proud
of what you can do
as the child inside--
playful, unembarrassed

(and don’t forget to)

Sudhir...you come, then go
for days and days
but upon your return
you want to play...

Your write is wonderful, and the added little nuances make it just that much more special...welcome home, Sudhir

I agree with the Lady -- it's wholesome to read your work again.

Excellent, again!

You've explored many facets here and done it well. The last line makes me think, "BE!"

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Outstanding write, Sudhir. The part the struck me most:
**************
i m a g i n e

the world around you
and what can be done
to that what surrounds you
maybe one change
could mean more
than anything else
that has been ever done
***********************

May that one change be a step towards believing we are all equal world citizens.

Sudhir, Sir, this is absolutely beautiful...

"breathe...
imagine...
invite....
listen....
observe...
exist....."
All are such important words, and you wrote so well about each of them.

Hope you don't mind that I'm putting this in my library.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings with us.

pointing out the little things are not as obvious as we like to think. i like the way you play with the formatting in between stanzas that are a bit thick.

its nice to see another desi on this site.

WOW... I am amazed by your replies... dear friends, I really feel that it is such an honour to be here.. if only times were different and work pressure would be just optimum, I would really love to spend more and more time here... but the fact is I am even working on certain weekends and free time is at a premium... but I do visit these blue pages time and again and read a few poems everytime I find a spot...

Thank you all for making me feel welcome even after playing truant time and again...

Lady, thank you so much for your gentle words of kind appreciation...

Seymour, thanks a lot my friend...

Mark, thanks you for your words...

Virginia, yes.. BE ... thanks a lot

midnitesun, thanks for pointing the part out... and yes... maybe...

garysgirl, thanks a lot for your appreciation... and please feel free to put this into your library.. I am honoured...

Janet, my heart jumps up by a few beats when I see your name, because of the wonderful way you respond, because of you being just you... thanks a lot...

O Serene One, huge hugs to you too... and you are the beautiful one to see beauty in this one...

Lyra, thanks a lot for coming by, reading and leaving behind a round of hugs... glad you enjoyed...

majnu, from one desi to another, thanks a lot...

thanks again my dear friends,
regards to all,
sudhir
