The Single Rose
By: Krystopher Morris

A single rose,
blood red, rigid.
So beautiful,
fragile, timid.

A silent reminder of love's great past,
love felt by people who knew it would last.
The single rose stands full and tall,
lasting throughout it all.

But when the rose begins to wilt,
the balance of love begins to tilt.
The love thats felt is torn apart,
pain is felt, a sorrow-filled heart.

Love is here to help us through,
times of old and times of new.
Love can be the cause of pain,
but always can be felt again.
