The Best of Me

The best of me is lost at sea
Searching for eternity
Each rage of toll has cut my goal
Waging war within my soul.

The raven flies a darkened sky.
On cactus wings and haunting why
I tire of the sickness age
Revelations weary wage

There is a key that suits myself
That sits somewhere upon a shelf
And though I search each rock and shoal
The lock remains upon my soul.

I hear a distant lullaby
Metaphors and symbols cry.
But confirmation stays the bend
Emigrating to no end.

The Golden Fleece still hangs in re
And stays invisible to me.

Sy, if there's a lock on your soul it must be miniscule for you always write so soul free.
Keth

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Good morning, Mr. T.!

This may not be one of your more cheery sonnets, but it certainly is a very important one. Hopefully with the aging process we grow in spirit and wisdom, but unfortunately the other side of this coin is that the body begins quite another process!

I want to give you an extra big hug this morning and a humongously huge angel kiss!

Ya know, I think that we always get "the best of Sey" and for this I'm gonna say thanks Sey.
A much deeper sonnet from you this morning my friend, but one that holds much meaning.  Hugs.

I yet have The Golden Key
I look upon its words daily
though golden Fleece is still at bay
I would harbor words that say

"we hold on lip a simple truth..."

and I, Sir, would not shed age for youth...

Yes, Mr. seymour, kind Sir.....I always know that when I open up your poetry, I will see a masterpiece of wisdom, written only the way "YOU" can. Therefore, you are always being you on these pages of blue.....sometimes sad, sometimes playful, but always Mr. Seymour. I appreciate that very much and thank you again for sharing your wonderful poetry with us.

(My, I'm being long-winded with my replies this morning !! Just in a really talkative mood today, I guess. HeeHee!!)

You already possess the key ...
tis your muse ... your pen ... your poetry.
Each time you write ... you then fly free ...
and we, gratefully, witness you designing destiny.

and I never saw blue like that before.
