With all the world I want to share
this loving poem I read
My Love's the one who wrote it
and I love what he said
The name that he gave the poem
is just simply "Fingertips"
It brings so many feelings
they can't even pass my lips
I'd really like you to see it
I'd post it if I could
Only trouble is I don't know
if I really should
He says there's much he'd like to say
but words won't reach his lips
So would I let him do the talking
with just his "fingertips"
He goes into much detail
of his message he'll convey
With his fingertips and kisses
he'll tell me what he has to say
We know we're very lucky
my dear sweet Love and I
We write each other poetry
with a loving sigh
And found this love we've always
wanted, so sensitive and sweet
We love each other so deeply
and are so happy we did meet
For the rest of our lives we know
together forever we'll be
Loving, singing, smiling
and writing each other poetry

Tammy, thanks for reading my poem and for your reply. We both feel very lucky. I really wanted to write more of his poem I was talking about in with this one, but it would have had to go to the  "other" forum. HeeHee!!

This was a very touching poem which I enjoyed, I find it easier to write down my feelings than to express them, so your words found a place in my heart. I wish my partner would find the time and need to just read once or twice, she then might get to know the true me.
Wonderful you have a person who loves all of you.
Much enjoyed.

Sincerely
Rick

I used to write my girlfriends poetry in the 3rd grade....things like Mary had a little lamb but now the lamb is dead, now Mary takes the lamb to school between two slabs of bread. Then, when I got much older and wiser I wrote poetry to my ladies too, things like: Mary had a little lamb, but now the lamb is dead, forget about that sheepskinned thing, and get in Toerag's bed.
(And, of course, my poetry didn't work any better back then-then it does now...)

lol at Toerag's reply, but your poem is sweet and I'm glad you didn't have to move to the other forum.

Rick, thanks for reading my poem and for your reply. I think one reason that Gary and I know each other so well is that we've had this long distance relationship for so long that we've written lots of letters and poems to each other. Through them we've told each other a lot of feelings inside. It is easier to write things down. I really hope that your partner starts reading youor poetry soon. It will make you lots closer, I think.

Thanks Kethry...I'm glad that I didn't have to move to the other forum, too. I don't know if I could write a poem and put that many "details" for everyone to see. Gary and I will just have to keep all those details between us.

Thank you, Noah. Gary doesn't have a computer. If he had one, he would already have joined PIP, probably. He loves writing poetry, especially to me (just as I like to write poems to him). He is much more talented than I am, though. He can write poems in all different styles and about all different subjects. He also is a very talented artist. He can look at anything and draw it just the way it looks. And he also can draw anything from memory, too. He is good at making things, too.

Well, I'd better hush before I sound like I'm boasting. I am really proud of him, though. Not only is he talented, sweet, compassionate, modest, and all those things....he's  VERY  good-looking, too.
Yes, I'm very fortunate to have him.

Okay, Noah, I'm gonna hush. (I sound like you talking about your Joanna, don't I??? Reckon it's love?? HeeHee!!)

Such lovely words, Ethel...
You and Gary are truly blessed to have found each other...
All you are missing is a computer for him and you would have it all.....
Christmas is coming, though... maybe Santa will bring him one

Thank you, sweet Lyra. We feel really blessed to have found each other.

It would be nice if Gary could get a computer, wouldn't it? Then he and I could write love duets together over the internet...(~~BIG   smiles~~)

Thanks, sweet Chippymunk.

You're very lucky, and I'm sure the poem he wrote you was as wonderful as this one.

Oh no... I'm becoming less and less hard. Diamonds are brittle, you know... Oh well. I'll feel better tomorrow.

Oh, and I enjoyed the poem!
