"beneath the lanterns dim light"
your memory pressed against me
leading me, slow dancing
to the beckoning night

M,
All right you two. It's starting to feel like duet time! Eh? Good job too.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Smiles gleefully here, under the lamplight.
The duet is lovely. I'm waiting for more.

no never annoying...  I had too much on my mind and that is why I wrote the other poem...only I can never recall what the too much is all about..sort of like childhood amnesia...

and anyway I did my work for the day...it was a sweaty job raking 4 trees worth of leaves that all fell in the rain in the last two days...new rake and me sort of like having a dancing partner...couldn't resist getting some exercise.

business stuff for me... am doing three things at once ( one of them playing here) and trying to work through changes we are undergoing as part of a restructuring. The dept I run is being downsized...and I have to redistribute the work load as well as arrange for outside support, etc. Also have to decide who is getting let go...so I am trying not to dwell on it.. just let it work itself out in my head without getting emotionally involved in the decisions... playing allow me to distract those emotions.
