Dedicated to a knight of a gal!

Once there was a maid fair of skin
who fought the knights in lance to win
A woman wise but young in years
Of finest silken cloth, no fears.

She came before the king in quest
of one could take her very best.
The joust the game, the ride to fame
as blue of eyes did spark a flame.

A name, a name, they all did seek
to give to one both wild and meek.
A name to bear on golden shield
A name for one so fair to wield.

Sir Lancelot seems mighty nice
but alas could not be chose twice.
They scratched and thought, they cursed and fumed
still nameless, this maid must be doomed.

Till one day when the minstrel rose
declared to all a name is chose.
Sir Lanceless is the moniker
they all did decide to give her.

And now the maid does ride the steed
in search of one who wants to bleed.
Her name a joke to some in jest
until the mud they lie in rest!
