Ah, but the dastardly devil, in fur of finest wolf, stalking streets of darkened stone, as wisps of lonely fog dance in swirls before him. Steps echoing the cobble upon the brick of lonely. Eyes of windows watching, staring into the shadowy eyes walking. Wondering what might this figure find? A wench of finest silk, mayhaps? His gait, cocky and sure, steady and strong upon the slippery yet shiny black. Eyes... piercing eyes, casting into the darkness, staring ahead... Hurrying, a waif of a girl, walking ahead... Her pace quickening as the sounds of steps fall upon delicate ears....The fear of the night air surrounding her. Surely she knows....surely she must realize this black lurking shadow is he? He who tears the hearts from those who live delicately, lonely...so simply.. The shrill sound of a whistle, breaking the still air....Steps running to and from.... Lanterns bobbing in the night, figures moving rapidly toward...... Another, yet another..... Will there be more? Will this stop? |

Magnus, Eeeuuuu, so scary...This is creepy and makes my skin crawl. You captured the Ripper quite well, I think, too. (The lanterns, time element) I liked the line of "eyes of windows watching" (neat phrase )I cannot say I enjoyed it, because I don't like scary things, however, I can say I enjoy your talent, and that makes it a worthwhile read. Your creation is very good. It truly is ~thrilling~....thank you so much... I wouldn't miss reading one of your poems for anything!
