Dear Sons

If your Mom was in the mood
I'm sure she would be more
than happy to tell you how
I treated her badly.
Which should help to explain
why she began to clearly see
that she would need to break
away from a man like me.
Now that she's gone tell her
I'm proud of her that she
made it on her own.
Tell her she did a fine job
of raising three sons.
Will one of you please
say some nice words for me
to soften up the hurt feelings
between your Mom and me.
Tell her how proud
I am of her.
Please tell
her that
for me.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh James, I hope everything is alright, sweet friend, I know how heartbreaking it can be to say goodbye not only to the one you loved but the children too and my heart goes out to all who experience this! (sigh) This is sensitive and heartfelt, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet James, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Nice poem.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

I didn't understand it... I liked it, but it confused me.

James- maybe your sons could tell her and then hand her this poem. Very touching. Chris

JamesMichael, this is so touching. I really hope that your sons tell their Mother how you feel, if they haven't already.

Thanks for sharing your heart.

JM...Here's to second chances. I wonder how much we'd change of our lives if we could go back and do things again, reorchastrate them knowing how the symphony would end?

JM....those that try,  and are sincere...
They get a second chance...maybe not in
a relationship now over,  but certainly in
life as a father...

It takes courage to see our faults,  and to
take responsibility for what we have done
wrong...

Thank you Noah, Cpat, Connel, Wind, Sandpiper, garysgirl, Madame, Hoot Own and Magnus for the nice responses...
Wind this is about a divorce that happened many years ago and I felt like no one was taking my side...I always wanted my sons to say nice things to my ex for me...they felt like it was their Moms right to find happiness...James
