Before me
   lay the tallest walls
   steep and treacherous
      ... but she calls

At the top
   know what I will find
   deep, unemptiness
      ... heart of mind

For I stare
   into heaven's eyes
   kept in burning light
      ... willing skies

I'll know love
   for such splendor bleeds,
   swept into the night
      ... she recedes

Fear is a blindness, heart is the cure.   -   C. Belville 02

this has such a captivating feel to it

I do have one question, by unemptiness, do you mean, then, fulfillment?

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Great poem... I Enjoyed the read,... Thank you for sharing.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

Thanks for the comments.
  VAS, yes, fulfillment may
be what one finds at the end
  of a bad day.

KC, always a pleasure in any direction.

  Connel, thank you.
