A Mound of Splore

Some would sit a mound of splore
Counting beads forevermore
Beads of faith that drop in wait
Without discourse, without debate

It is a form of sophistry
Some would say epiphany
But all are free to seek their goal
And in the process save their soul

I cannot say which one gives light
Nor can I say which one is right
I only say God bless to you
And do what ever you must do.

For me I sail the chaos sea
And watch the stars that wink at me.
Let the wind embrace my goal
And steer a course to save my soul.

So if we meet by chance of stray
I wish you well along your way.

Sy ... meeting you "by chance of stray" was one of the loveliest memories I own. This is a wonderful piece ... I love the flow and phrasing within.

Best wishes and hugs,

So tell me once again what's splore
and is it well worth fighting for
have you said a mound of frolic
now my head hurts - you give me colic
If I get it right is there promotion
or is it still a strange commotion
it's all too well to wish God bless
and go your way with tenderness
but tell me, tell me, just once more
what is this word, this thing called splore

Could these lines be any cooler??
me thinks not

It tis the goal of my every day ...
to make sure I stray upon you way.
To cross the paths of your wisdom's wile
I'd walk many a mile to witness your smile.

OH yes, I'll free frolic up your mounds of splore ...
in ecstasy's explore ... the Eden of your evermore.

Sy, this rips at my heartstrings this morning and strikes so personal.

Thank you for sharing this. It is now hanging prominently on my refrig.

On another note, I have no idea what a 'splore' is and couldn't find it in any dictionary, but it's a great word. Guess it can mean whatever the reader and writer want it to mean.

Hugs and I raise my tea cup to you this morning ~~ Marti

Well..I finally found 'splore' in my official Scrabble dictionary...
Splore~a carousal

next off to carousal...

Carousal~A boisterous drinking party

Hummm.....now back to see how this fits into the poem..
Thanks for the new word Sy!

Seymour darling heart and painter of wisdom’s beauty once more your writing is simply stunning.

I love this one darling heart, it is as smooth as silk which slips over my mind like a cloak of wonder. Truly you are excellent and I love it utterly

Come and carouse along with me
Say goodbye to conventionality
Dive into the pleasure dome
Let your thoughts to this just roam
Fly up to the stars that shine
Gather flowers bedewed with rhyme
Tease your senses with all of this
Wrapped within a poetic kiss
Deny the will that tells you nay
Come away with me to play
Where the world spins into dream
And takes a gift of wonders scenes
Let me touch the dream once again
And wash my soul in pleasure’s rain

I love this utterly utterly utterly

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Mike,
I think you count deed instead of beads. Thanks.
