Tonight
I wear my rain eyes
Reflected pools
Of love thoughts
In shimmer…..

Do not disregard the clouds you see
Or guess them lined with silver
Instead perceive their fullness
…know the storm is coming

Electric is this touch
And your earth alive,
anticipating
my wet

I watch you dance for me
In return I cover your sky
With grey kiss promises
In soft breeze whispers
Of torrential ache

And with the first hint of rain
You know this storm
Will rage
Until every drop
Has fallen, and your earth
Completely saturated……..

(smiles) Wow, this is sooooooo beautifully sensual, sweet friend, and sometimes salt is all you need to tend a garden as tears of love fall from ones eyes, this is breathtaking, yay, I love it, I'm so happy you're back, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Susan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Susan,
Every drop
he will anticipate
with tender
care

the parched
days are over
and healing now begun

bursting forth
like from spring rains
refreshing
even in its remembrance

Is it any wonder that your poetry of rain is such a consistent source of pleasureable reading. Bless you dear girl, always.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Ah yes, my friend.  It is SO good to read you again.
This is absolutely beautiful and reminds me of
all that I missed while deprived of your poetry.
Great to have you back 'home'.

I believe I just felt a storm surge.  LOL  You know your rain well.

The stars will shine when I am gone,
the earth will turn on as before,
the gulls, still race along the shore,
the morning star, still kiss the dawn

Lovely poem. Thanks for sharing.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.
