This 'twas good! 'Tis wise!

fun way to incorporate a couple of old perspectives...glad it is so for you,
we all need a little recovery, now and then

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

T'was the night before...
when all through the castle,
the cups were empty...
Oh,  what a hassle...

Pessimistically speaking, of course...

When it comes to pessimism
There's only one thing I can say
No sense in being pessimistic
It wouldn't work out anyway.

But your poem is like your smile
And it's surely worth the while.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Linda, this is excellent, sweet friend, I have always been an optimist, though the only difference is that I suffered as a boy being hopeful, now I believe in that being a virtue, this is gorgeous, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I want so much to be the eternal optimist and have my cup runneth over.

Pilgrimage  ~

Thank you, but to be perfectly honest, I am more of an eternal optimist---and sometimes that takes an incredible amount of mental fortitude, especially at those times when the light appears to have gone out of your life.

VAS  ~

Thank you. I love trite and true! I'm a walking-talking cliche! I believe there is a lot of wisdom inherent in truisms! Many writers shy away from them, but I embrace them!---and I get a real kick out of making them up!

Cute! Very cute! However, I feel that you are probably more of an optimist--- optimistically speaking, that is! lol
Thank you for humorous poetic reply!

Even though that poem is that short, it has a very big meaning. To me, your trying to say just look at the bad as good? like in war, and people were being killed right and left, but you got shot in the legs with one of them cannon things, lol.. But then you have to leave because your hurt, and you are one of the three people that lived the battle..lol, I probably shouldnt of gave the example.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

Marti  ~  There are times when it requires a tremendous amount of mental discipline and determination to see the bright side of a situation, especially when the light appears to have gone out and you are plunged into darkness. *********************************************

Connel  ~  Yes, that is an apt analogy! Thank you for that!
