Will you broaden my horizons?
Teach of literature and more
When I'm revealing all my innocence
Will you let me know the score?

Will you teach of love and poetry?
For I am quite naïve
When I miss your innuendo
I know it makes you grieve

Could I be to you, your Rita?
As you educate my mind
We could jigsaw fit together
As something rare and good you find

Could I be your strain of wonder?
As child like I adore
And learn from all your teaching
Yet, boldly beg for more

For you are worldly wiser
And somewhat older too you see
Will you broaden my horizons?
Or simply make a fool of me

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Keth beloved heart when your words fall on my soul I am moved and spellbound. There is within your writing what can only be described of as pure magic, anyone can write, but not everyone has the power to sway the audience. Perhaps I should amend that there are writers who can tap into the emotions of their readers, but there are fewer who can do it not just once, not just on the occasional poem but over and over and over again. YOU can and you do, you take the written word and transform it, you make it alive, and rooted in the reality of the world. I thank you always, for sharing the wonder, and showing me the colours that flow through my soul, you paint the rainbow darling heart and you do it with grace and abundant skill.

As for this utterly utterly beautiful poem I say I love it absolutely, it is utterly splendiferous. Truly one that is a keeper darling heart, and so I shall place it with the rest of your sparkling gems in my Keth library.

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

I like this very much, Kethry... The potential is abundant... to enlighten or abuse... the question we need answered is which one will they choose?

Well, now, isn't this an interesting write. I enjoyed this piece and would like to echo Miss Suthern Belle's insightful reply!

I like this poem a great deal. And,

Southern hit the nail right on the head, as did you, with the last two lines....

Enjoyed.

Warm Regards,
Pat

(smiles) This sounds like a tribute or dedication to a mentor of close inspiration of yours, sweet friend, know that the true force is in YOU and though we are inspired by the likes of others, it is YOU who makes the poetic magic possible! (kiss on cheek) This is excellent, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kethry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

wow...love those last lines
it's interesting, the dynamics that happen between two people, when one is older

Beautiful poem.. Thank you for sharing..

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

Step ever so lightly,  smile,  close your
eyes and perhaps fly on the wings of a dove.

How can one ever be sure, prior to that
first step?

Beautiful,  wise and rich in meaning...
