Moved from a shack to a barn

A homecoming
Of doubting pain

The return from exile
Into that familiar
Familial embrace

Leaves me fast
In the knowledge
That all I am

Or rather, was
To you

I am, in reality
Helpless
In the face of that
Manipulative malefactor,

The venal compulsion
That haunts you

And when your ghost
Comes in the night,
To take that which
Is only yours to give

Please hide yourself
Here, within me
Find solace in my spirit
And succor in my heart

If I don't stop crying I swear I'm gonna go blind. (and ya'll thought it was something else didnja?)

Ed...the gentleness of your heart and compassion and capacity of with all of your wisdom you have understanding shows and shines in this.

sighs again.

You think it would hurt if I beat my head against a pillow? lots of aches about tonight...

everybody seems wounded...

Ed, very deep thoughts you've written here. You really do beautiful work.
BTW...when are you and Karen going fishing again?

In your photo, you look like a big, strong, macho man---that is why I find your gentle and poetic side so intriguing--a good yin-yang balance.
