synchronized
titter-tattle
raindrops prattle
on tin roof
hammering
a pattern's spell--
heaven is
now raining hell--
within I'm safe
and warm--aloof.

Patterns
even in the rain...
watch it stop
and start again.
I look at light
beneath monsoon,
and swear there is
a watered moon.

A satellite has gravity,
just different from
what's supposed to be...
not free to bound
the plains of mars,
but shackled in a cavity.

Tell me that my rhyme is wrong.
Parse my syntax,
critique the song...

But poetry is my release.
I do know why
the caged bird sings...

never would I
critique
the song
of a caged
wren

how a little bird
can fill
a world

Karen, there are a plethora of talented poets here, but, very few write with the pinache, clever expression and intensity as you do.  Although uninentional I often relate and find pieces of myself in your words and you always take me back to memories and emotions that still move or haunt me.
It's hard to say how I relate to this because it just blows me away, but, just know that I do relate, hopefully that's enough~

Yes, I'm keeping this~

Take care,
Melissa~

You have chutzpah
You have balls
Your rain of word's like
Niagara Falls

You speak the truth
You speak your mind
Your poetic works
Are quite a find

You are unique
You've found your niche
Rein not your words
On edit's leash

You spill your guts
You share your thoughts
Your poetic works
Are respected lots

Sometimes you write
With rhyme and reason
Then off you go
'Tis hunting season

You hold my interest
With your sage mots
You make me laugh
With your derry o's

Be they simple
And in-your-face
Be they ranting
Or full of grace

Your poems delight
And make one think
You fill the gaps
You're the missing link!

(smiles) And I don't dare critique this either, as poetry is all about singing like the canary, or the nightingale, or even the vulture, not about some silly anapestic tentameter or anything in that matter! (big hugggssssss) You are a marvelous epitome of creativity, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
