A brief separation
For Erin

Sitting in the shaft of light
Watching the shadow of cigarette smoke
Creep across the cobbled café courtyard
Waiting,
Waiting for her to return

The noblest battles are always fought in vain

well, maybe I didn't convey what I was trying to convey here. I wrote this when she was off getting a drink while we were on a date. It was a BRIEF separation.
She is still in my life.
Thanks for all of your well-wishes. It has been a while, huh? Nice to be back (but for how long? I don't know)
