Listening to every heart

Opinions

Held in O, round-mouthed
and willing to accept
truths within,

my outside etched by remarks
over time,

I await yours.

Attitude
Belief
Outlook
View
Estimation

Each of us bears witness to opine,
but here now, look,
see,
with me
the acrostic truth of it all.

I would sit in reflection,
Eager to take in all observations,
dogmatic or otherwise,

knowing that some
might etch my insides with
acidic comment,
   so I dilute them carefully,
       allowing to dissipate
   those that may defile
my glow.

I will hold your opinions
willingly, to show acceptance
of your views,

but know that when they
turn acerbic,
I will dilute some,

just so.

Sunshine,
I would dilute all but one. Nothing should should be extinct.

Being very  opinionated at times, I love this poem! haha. Nice flow to it, nice rhythm.

Karilea~
The stark beauty of the graphic is accented by the crystal clarity of truth in your word-thoughts~
Excellent penning~

For me, all of life is like a mirror...when someone finds fault with or in me, it possibly and probably is there, no doubt, but, for sure, the same fault, though perhaps disquised, is within my accusor. This concept is a wonderful way to learn and to grow  into all we are meant to be..for all of us who are willing to be rigorously honest, a state of mind I've had to pray for.......ever a new layer of the peeling of the onion.....

The above is what your poem caused me to feel, think and ponder....

Thank you,
Warm Regards,
Pat

Yes, these are my feelings,  EXACTLY....I value and respect the opinions of others very much. It's when they become unkind and hurtful in their attitudes that I have trouble with them. Maybe I can just start to "dilute" those "opinions" and feel better all the way around.
Thanks for sharing these thoughts.
