Just slightly altered, you I altared not,
non Vesuvian nor face a clench'd fist,
things but simmered, I'd not let them hot,
Here find no treason, reason to be pissed.
No hope was seeded in this greedy earth
where all will end when our brief dance complete,
love can't die if we not give it birth,
the wee smile drags a windless flag's defeat.

See, I told you it'd not last.

**Tumbrel= a farm tipcart, vehicle widely used
                particularly during the French
                revolution to carry those executed.
**beast with two backs= A vulgar reference to the
                        coitial act from Shakespeare
                        Othello Act 1, Scene 1.

I gather you didn't quite see eye to eye right, oh well que serĂ¡, que serĂ¡ (someone obviously with experience made that cliche up)

Let there be peace on earth,

(sigh) Yes, you cannot end what you haven't begun, and if nurtured no tumbrel will ever be need to be borrowed! (sigh) I too remember tumbrel from A Tale of Two Cities where the dead were taken from the French Revolution, I love the metaphor, this is excellent, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Richard, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I love that first line-sly in the extreme. Nice poem.
