The rolling motion
Of waves lapping at the shore,
Lulls me to slumber.

Sound of rushing sea
outside window breeze of calm
floats dreams to my sleep.

It's a lovely senryu earthy angel.

Linda, you just put me right there, on the beach. This is one of your best.
Love it.  Could be because I grew up on a lake in Ohio, and tho. don't miss the weather there, the lake....
that I miss.... and you captured it for me.....

thank you ever so much, this is so special...

Hugs,
Pat

Vicky  ~   The sounds of the lake lapping at the shore really do lull me to slumber. Even just thinking about it has a soporific effect on me......zzz...zz...z...tehe

Marti  ~   Merci! I actually feel like having a nap right now and that is not something that I do, alth' it would be a very healthy thing for us to do!

Pat  ~

I love the sounds of the ocean waves beating against a rugged shore line, but I find that more invigorating. The lapping of lake water lulls me to slumber....

~ knowing, warm smiles to you

Yes, I know that feeling well.  Rain also does this for me.

The stars will shine when I am gone,
the earth will turn on as before,
the gulls, still race along the shore,
the morning star, still kiss the dawn

Melissa  ~ Hi! Hope all has been going well for you!
You can add me to the list of falling rain lovers. The comforting cadence sends me off to dreamland as well.

Linda, one of my favorite places in all the world is walking along the beach at night when most people are gone home. On a calm night, the waters of the Gulf Of Mexico very gently cause the waves to lap upon the shore. These are very peaceful to listen to, especially hand in hand with Gary.
I also like the sounds of rain on the housetop, but not as much as the waves.
