Lost in a dream. (Please don't wake!)

How Bids Thee Tonight?

Good evening, dearest friend,
How bids thee tonight?
What journeys have you traveled today?
What feats have bowed before your might?

Grasped lightly in whispery fingers,
What messages do you bring?
In a voice than echoes throughout the land,
What songs have you to sing?

Will you tell me a story,
Of magical things unseen?
And when I drift to sleep tonight,
Of your tales I shall dream.

Shall I sit and watch you,
As you show me your dance?
Trailed by leaves, framed by night,
Your swirling, breathless dance?

I will listen to your messages and songs,
That you have for me today.
And watch ‘til night fades into dawn,
As you dance the night away.

To your stories I will listen,
With rapture in my eyes.
So tell me, dearest friend,
How bids thee tonight?

Tis a poem about the wind, tis. I wrote it while gazing out my window one windy, but clear, autumn night

Yes, I do believe
Wind would not mind
being caught in a glimpse
like this...

thank you!

Thank you kindly!

Do what you want and say what you feel. Those who matter won't mind and those who mind don't matter. (Forget who said that...must find their name.)

*smile* You're a very descriptive writer, and write beauty into vision. Well done.
