Peacemaker

the skillfulness of words you say
from lips of phantom love
through times illusions you are there
in trepidation of
the happiness that could be yours
the naked thoughts of mine
a faded photograph I share
when shadows intertwine
and day becomes the nighttime of
replaced by Wynter's dance
two souls adrift in feelings want
embraced by happenstance

guiding me along the stay
the alibis of you,
a war internal crimes its way
in loopholes seeking blue
when into arms, committed I
to leisurely embrace
holding on to "never go"
this leave of turtle's pace.
Corrupting me, each minute's life
when shared in eye to eye
I fall into the eclipse of
the powers thrust in sigh.

As time slips by and days of more
become my reign of life
endeavor I to be the best
"a-once-upon-a-wife".
I grasp each moment for its gift,
push jealousy aside
for when I reminisce, it's me,
the other, now in hide.
She watches from behind the wall
to see if I will fail.
I smile and whisper inwardly
and press her back in braille.

There is no way that I am she, nor
could she ever be
the me I am who's moved ahead,
improving by degree.

Maureen, the more I read of your work, the more I like.  Your words are amazingly rich and multi-leveled.  Very high quality.

Awww M the progress of you. Your growth continues to delight me. You are an amazing woman. Peace.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

thank you Mark..I think highly of your work and  your responses *s..I actually was thinking of calling this "Corrupted" but was talking to someone about how I am the peacemaker in my family and thought that title better..since I am trying to make peace with and for myself.

Thank you Larry, sometimes I am amazed at what finally comes out of me to post..if I go back and search my own C drive to read something from the past, I don't feel like I could have written it...I don't understand why, but it happens alot to me.
Anyway, I am feeling good...and am hopeful to continue feeling this way.

Wow M, this is wonderful. A great write with loads of introspection in subtle verse. Nicely done!

Hey Sue, you will feel this way one day
hugs
M

sigheyes..it took a while, longer than expected for some, soon enough for me, thankyou

WR..yes..I have this inner battle always going on between "the move ahead woman" and the "want what's lost" one..

Ethel, not so much progress as it is determination

(sigh) This is excellent, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Maureen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Unbelievably good writing, Maureen. Intense, very evocative.
