Flight of night
in pure delight,
captured thoughts
in filtered light
aloft in dreams.
I hear the loon sing
as the moon fades...
and midnite screams,
'tis morning too soon!

This was a very soothing poem to read, until all that screaming started!  Enjoyed the song like feel.

No matter how good looking she is... someone, somewhere is glad she's gone.

Dontcha just hate it when something awakens you in the middle of a really great dream?
Makes me scream.

Thank you for reading and replying, reluctantly.

As always, Kacy, you have penned a very good poem with lots of thoughts to ponder. Thanks for sharing.

I agree. Morning has a way of sneaking up on you, unwanted, doesn't it? But then, when you finally fully awake (just in time to see the sunrise), how can you be angry with something that paints the sky so beautifully? Like a child who raids the cookie jar but is too cute to get scolded. *purses lips*

Now this is a poem worth screaming about. Gosh, I really enjoyed it. I am not a morning person and just hate to get out of bed,

Great writing -- hugs, Marti

Nice poem. Enjoyed the read... Thanks for sharing.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

Marti, Connell, Maureen, Noah, thanks!
Actually, I love the loon's tunes, Noah.
It's the waking-up-just-as-the-cool-dream part starts that makes me scream.
