With you, my spirit soars
upon love's golden wings
above the mountaintops,
in mile high majesty,
over sparkling streams,
I listen forever for
your celestial music,
the echoing into midnite's dreams,
lighting the skies with fireflies
and starlight's glow,
drumming heart beats
inspiring fleet of feet,
leaping o'er bold boulders,
cymbals cascading symbols
of timeless love of life,
sky to earth and back again,
you play my soul with every note,
you are the floor of my inner being,
my solid grounding, yet my wings.
Palatial pyramids of the past
hold less glorious treasure than
the music you pour forth
from your heart and soul.
Surround me with your nature tunes,
the cries of midnite loons and
gossamer wings, floating things,
in mist or fog, rain or snow,
it is the same wherever I go.
Oh, how my heart sings
to the tune of you.
Kitaro, my ears hear
the heartbeat of nature
through the heart of you.

Beautiful write. I love it...it seams mystical, fantasy-like to me. As a note, as I am a perfectionist, 'oer would be o'er, wouldn't it? *shrugs* Either way you paintin a masterpiece. Thank you for the enjoyment.

Forgive me, again, for the correction. Once more, I think this is a beau-ti-ful poem. Yes, how I hate typos. *glares at her keyboard* Whew, too much tea...I'm too awake for this time of night, it's unnatural!

Yo Kacy...for a minute there with all the mountain forest images I thought John Denver, suprized me with Kitaro.Anyway I agree it's wonderfull how music can take us places we enjoy being.Even though the fireflies are gone for the season I enjoyed the visit.

Live like it's your last day...
Dance like nobody's watching...

Ethel, thank you so much. I am always inspired by nature and beautiful music.

Ray, glad you could drift on over to the Rockies. Yes, JD wrote and sang of the Rockies, I can't help but think of him at times. Have you listened to much Kitaro? He is totally awesome. Thanks for reading and replying.

Very Nice
I am a Kitaro fan myself
this makes me think of his album _Dream_
Which I like best of all since Jon Anderson of YES sings on it.
And I am a huge JA and YES fan.

You captured for me the mood of that album

Hello Kacy

Your words flowed like a tranquil stream and were so very beautiful.  I'm so glad I found this gem.  I hope all is well with you.

Take care......Sue

Hi again Kacy...yeah have listened to alot of kitaro, very dreamy soulful composer. One of the few so called new age types I find real.I agree he can evoke both natures gentle and delicate as well as it's wild and frightening sides with his work.By the way read both of your other offerings this evening and enjoyed them both also.Funny,it might be the middle of your night there yet it's only a little after 11pm here...off with me now before I ramble forever...hope your night and tomorrow bring you much joy.

Kacy,

You put me instantly in the midst of a week-long "rough" camping canoe trip this past June. Thanks for that

Great poem.. I enjoyed the read. Thank you for sharing.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

Hi Kacy...  your cadence here reminds me of the flow of Silk Road, cascading in ethereal arpeggios of relaxation.  Nice work.

Kacy this is wonderful...look at all the imagery in this...and I love the subtle rhyme scheme and those alliterations you worked in.
Very cool write...emotions expressed on a grand scale.

Thank you to each of you, for your time and replies. If you are ever searching for a soulful, spiritually uplifting music video or DVD, I highly recommend 'Best of Kitaro' (Domo records, 2001.) You will not be disappointed.
No, I didn't get paid to promote this

No, Kacy
it was "rough" only in that we carried all we needed in the canoe, slept on the ground, etc. You know, FUN

LOL, I never liked sleeping on the ground, though I've done it often. Yep, I've carried a canoe, too, through knobby Cypress trees, under Spanish moss and in the gator infested rivers of Florida. You can take the next trip for me.
